Are you planning a visit to Dublin in April 2023? Spring is finally here and the city is blooming, there are a lot of new events happening in the Irish capital during the next month, and plenty of outdoor spaces to be explored now that the weather is getting better. Here’s our complete guide to things to do and see in Dublin during April 2023:
Church of Rihanna - Party - April 7th
Does a whole night dancing to Rihanna’s songs seem like something you would love? Then you cannot miss CHURCH’s Rihanna party on the 7th of April, taking place at The Well bar, just across the street from St Stephen’s Green. Tickets are available for €9.55.
The Easter Rising Parade - April 8th
Every year the 1916 Easter Rising is celebrated with a parade outside of the General Post Office, at O’Connell Street. The Easter Rising was one of the most important moments in Irish History, which led to Irish Independence from the Britsh. The Parade starts at 11:30 but the public is advised to arrive early to get a better view of the troops, big screens around the city will be showing the event but to see it in person gather around O’Connell Street.
The Easter Rising Parade is free to attend and it’s also a great opportunity to see in person the Irish President and Taoiseach.
Paramore concert in Dublin - April 13th
The American band Paramore will be performing in Dublin on April 13th, 2023, at the famous venue 3Arena, one of the best in the city. This is Paramore’s first European tour in four years, they will be performing their newest album This is Why. Tickets start at €63.00 and the venue’s doors will be open from 6:30 pm.
Sam Smith - April 14th & 15th
Another concert to check out this month in Dublin is the singer, Sam Smith, performing his most anticipated album GLORIA. The show will take place at 3Arena, and doors will be open at 6:30 on both nights. Tickets start at €59,90 and can be purchased on 3arena’s website.
Yoga in the park - Every Saturday in April
Our favorite Weekend activity is back this spring. Yoga in the Park is a weekly class happening every Saturday on the grounds of the lovely Darthmount Square, at 11:00 am. The Class Pass can be purchased on their website, and each session costs €12.
Happy Days Beer & Food Festival - April 29th & 30th
A two-day food and drinks festival happening in Dublin with top-class beer, heaps of amazing snacks and DJ sets from 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Visitors can also sign up for a free tour of Rascal’s Brewery and a chance to learn about the company's history and production style. Tickets are available for €20 each day and can be purchased at their website.
Check out the cherry blossoms in Dublin
April is the best month to check the first spring blossoms in Dublin, and luckily, they are everywhere! If you are visiting the city this month make sure to go catch the Sakura trees painting the landscape with different shades of pink. Some of the best spots to go are Herbert Park - with one of the biggest populations of Sakuras in the city -, Trinity College, and Phoenix Park.
