FREE EVENTS

Who doesn't love a good freebie? Dublin has plenty of free events for you to enjoy. Explore street performances, cultural festivals and local markets without spending a dime.

 

Every Saturday – Shaw Drag Brunch

5th – Cinema Night: The Danish Girl

11th to 16th – Bloomsday Festival

Bloomsday is a celebration of James Joyce’s novel Ulysses. The festival has many venues, some events are free and others paid. Don’t miss out and view the full festival programme.

 

22nd and 29th - Flea Market

From 10 AM to 1 PM, the market is hosted at The Bernard Shaw.

 

29th - Dublin Pride Parade

Join Dublin for the Pride Parade and celebrate love, diversity and unity in the heart of the city! If you're participating alone or with friends, no registration is needed. Just show up on the day and join in anywhere along the route past O’Connell Street. This is definitely my favourite and best weekend in Dublin - If you are staying at Canbe Hostels, meet me at Gardiner House to join our crew for this amazing event. Get ready for much fun, see you there.

 

 

CONCERTS, FESTIVALS, ARTS AND CULTURE EVENTS

Art lovers, get ready to jam! Dublin's art scene is buzzing with excitement. Enjoy live music, vibrant festivals and stunning art exhibitions. There’s always something new and exciting happening.

 

1st - 49 Winchester

Taking place in 3Olympia, admissions start at €31.60.

 

1st and 2nd - Forbidden Fruit Festival

Dublin's first and longest-running city-centre festival returns for a Bank Holiday Weekend celebration. Join the city for the 11th year at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Royal Hospital, to kick off summer in style. Tickets from €79.50.

 

1st to 3rd - Bord Bia Bloom

Ireland's favourite festival of flowers, food and craic, returns to Phoenix Park this year! Enjoy vibrant show gardens, delicious local food and entertainment for all ages. Tickets start at € 26.67, but if you are student, it will cost you €22.20.

 

1st to 08th – The Wizard of OZ

Direct from The London Palladium, the sensational new production of one of the world’s most beloved musicals comes to Bord Gáis Energy Theatre. Tickets from €21.50.

 

2nd – Mack Fleetwood

After sold-out shows across the country, Europe's top Fleetwood Mac tribute, MACK FLEETWOOD, is set to play at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre. Price from €27.

 

From 5th to September - Riverdance

Discover a powerful and stirring reinvention of the global phenomenon, first Irish dance show (it's not just about Irish Music -seems you're inside an Disney movie)-, Riverdance is taking place one more time at Gaiety Theatre. Featuring a Grammy Award-winning score and extraordinary energy, this show is not to be missed this icon in Ireland. Don’t miss out! Ticket prices start at €21.50. I see you there!

 

 

7th – Walking Tour: The Dublin True Crime Tour

Join this 2-hour walking tour of Dublin, delving into the city's history of crimes including art thefts, kidnaps, murder and robberies. Tickets starting from €15.99.

 

08th – The Von

The stand-up tour is coming to 3Arena and tickets are available from €49.20.

 

10th - Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer

The alternative rock pioneers announced their tour that takes place at 3Arena and tickets are sold out. But is worth keeping an eye out for last-minute availability. 

 

12th – The Killers

One of the most important voices in rock’n’roll over the last two decades, The Killers almost sold out three dates at 3Arena this month. Be fast to guarantee your ticket. Price from €82.25.

 

Also playing on the 12th, Mt. Joythe new-folk heroes are playing at 3Olympia Theatre and admissions cost €29.90.

 

13th to 16th – Taste of Dublin 

The unmissable highlight of the summer: Taste of Dublin is back. In 2024, experience this foodie haven for the first time in the historic Merrion Square, one of Dublin's most beautiful Georgian Squares. Admission starts at €18.

 

14th and 15th - Seven Drunken Nights - The Story of the Dubliners

Experience the ultimate feel-good Irish show that's guaranteed to lift your spirits. Tickets priced from €26.90 including booking fee.

 

20th to 29th – Dublin Pride Festival 2024

Dublin Pride Festival, an annual event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, has a rich history dating back to the 1970s. As one of Europe's oldest Pride events, it continues to be one of Ireland's largest Pride festivals. With various events across different dates and venues, join us in celebrating diversity and inclusion. Check online for details.

 

Also, part of the Dublin Pride Festival, the Mother Pride Block Party is the biggest annual Pride Party in Ireland, will happen on the 29th, will take place at National Museum and tickets start at €45.

 

23rd – Liam Gallagher

Liam will perform the entire ‘Definitely Maybe’ album live for the first time during the tour at 3Arena. Admission from €71.90.

 

24th – Cinema Night: That They May Face the Rising Sun

Where? Pavilion Theatre and tickets start from €9.

 

25th – Troye Sivan

By The Guardian “one of this year’s best and most distinctive pop albums” this tour is destined to be his brightest tour. Secure your spot! Tickets start at €49.90

 

26th – AURORA

Join Dublin at the National Stadium to experience the magical voice of AURORA live in concert. Tickets from €39.90.

 

 

Also on the 26th, Tom Odell, the hit of TikTok and Reels now is coming to Dublin for the craic. Guarantee your spot, price start from €59.90.

 

28th – Braza Block Party 

Join Dublin for an electrifying start to Pride 2024! The Brazilians and co-headliners Pedro Sampaio and Gloria Groove will ignite the celebration at The National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks. Tickets available from €50.97.

 

29th to 30th – Longitude Festival

Longitude returns to Marlay Park this summer and it counts with big names such as Doja Cat, 21 Savage, Central Cee, Sonny Fodera, Becky Hill, Jazzy and plenty others. Tickets are available from €125 for one day or €199.350 weekend ticket.

 

SPORTS ACTIVITIES

If you're a sports fan or just love the outdoors, Dublin has you covered. From local matches to scenic hiking trails, there's plenty to keep you active and engaged.

 

1st – Champions League

Calling all football lovers! Watch Dortmund vs. Real Madrid at The Wool Shed Sports Bar or at The Bernard Shaw

 

9th, 23rd and 30th – Formula Fun

If you are into racing, enjoy some nice pints and food, while watching al the F1 races shown in full at The Bernard Shaw. Also have a craic with themed quizzes, bingo, spot prizes and food and drinks packages. Canadian vs. Grand Prix, Spain vs. Grand Prix, and Austrian vs. Grand Prix. 

 

22nd – Bellator Champions Series

The Professional Fighters League presents Welterweight World Title: Jackson vs. Kuramagomedov in 3Arena. Tickets start at €45.
